What a wonderful pub and music venue.
We travel from Sheffield 3-4 times a year for the Northern Soul nights.
It would be a huge travesty if this was no longer available to visit.

The Cask is a modern day sanctuary for civilised humans to enjoy jazz. I am not a civilised human but I know and like a few who are. I more than understand the community need for relief from the drudgery of modern day life. The Cask as a community hub should be eagerly preserved as a heritage.

The Cask is home to Scarborough Jazz Club,which stages some of the biggest names in British & European Jazz. It is also home to other community projects. It would be a very big loss to Scarborough and beyond if it were to close. The Cask must remain it is too valuable for the area to lose

The Cask is a much loved and well used community pub and live music venue. It is also regularly used for dancing and many other activities. It must be saved for the local residents and holiday makers.

I really hope that the Cask Inn will continue as a music venue. It has served as a great venue over many years and there has never been a time where places like this are needed more. They are crucial for the cultural landscape of the community.

This fabulous venue is a valuable part of the cultural life of Scarborough and has a long heritage as such. It would be hugely detrimental to the fabric of the local community were it to close.
