This was my second home for many years. I will always have very fond memories, hopefully it will be saved and continue to be a great place for music.

Go every year when in Scarborough and find it one of the few places where you can get a decent meal and real ale.

The Cask has been the hub of the Jazz/music scene in Scarborough since I first moved here in 1971. We used to go regularly as we enjoyed the atmosphere and congeniality. Unfortunately, due to mobility problems, I'm not able to go so often now. But this special venue needs to be protected and not allowed to go the same way as many other fabulous musical haunts that we have enjoyed over the years. I add my support for the campaign to save it. Keep Music Live.

Increasingly the Cask has been a v valuable cultural and financial assure to Scarborough. For example the Scarborough Jazz Club has proved a great attraction for holiday members and has a symbiotic relationship with the prestigious jazz festival. In recent years it has been proactive in giving young musicians an opportunity to develop their skills in public. Such venues are the life blood of Scarborough.
Save the Cask
