Save the trees. They are Tallahassee’s old souls and elders. Trees are the essence of Tallahassee. Far too many have been lost to aggressive urbanization. The Cascades Park is perfect. You will go down in history a one who stole the spirit of Tallahassee.

Tallahassee is a Florida treasure largely because of the care and protection we give the green space of our community. These precious ancient trees are a part of that space and need protection. They are irreplaceable.

This is ridiculous! These trees are what make Tallahassee special. They've been here for a hundred years! They are in a city park. We dont need another shopping complex or overpriced apartments!

Live Oak trees take more than a life time to replace. We are more than cement, leave that look to other Florida cities. Find another plan to include our Live Oak trees please.

Do you realize how many inner-city Tallahassee youth have never even been out of the city limits, let alone travel to see the Gulf of Mexico. The best-selling non-fiction from New York Times Journalist Richard Loev ("Last child in the woods", outlines why we need MORE wild places in urban areas, not less, to let them spend more time in nature to minimize the prevalence of youth with ADDHD. Furthermore, there are plenty of areas to expand around the outskirts of the city limits.

Don't cut them. The natural beauty of Tallahassee is one of its greatest defining features and what makes it a wonderful place to live and stand out from the conveyor line of concrete jungles with no soul or life.
