Please Tallahassee, save our trees. We have enough empty businesses, complexes etc. to not cut these tress down. Keep what is unique about our lovely city.

Downtown development serves corporate profit more than it does the interests of the people of Tallahassee. It CAN serve BOTH with creative leadership. The first and top priority of the local government however is the good and will of the people and future generations here, not fleeting corporate profits. Do the right thing - get creative - save our landmark live oaks.

These trees can NEVER be replaced. They have survived storms, probably conflicts and certainly many obstacles lasting beyond numerous human lifetimes. There is no reasonable reason to remove these tress. If they were diseased or threatening human life, but these are not. It would be a disgrace to kill these these ancient beauties for monetary gain. WRONG!!

How short-sighted can we be?
Destroy a previous, irreplacable treasure like that Cascades Oak Grove? For Shame City Commissioners & all who let this even be considered. Do the right thing NOW. Find a way to preserve this grand tree treasure. We'll remember in November, but would be easier on you to just.do.the.right.thing & Right this Wrong, NOW.

We need to keep Tallahassee unique to continue to draw new business and tourism. If we have a clear for progress mentality like other parts of central and south Florida we will fall into the generic look of most Florida cities.
