With every new construction project, Tallahassee loses more of its small town character. Now you propose to replace these trees that have stood for a hundred years or more with buildings that in twenty years will have the same uselessness that places like Northwood and Tallahassee Malls have. I say preserve the natural beauty we have. There are plenty of blighted properties for you to tear down and replace. Leave the trees alone.

We don't need this. Traffic in that area is congested as is. No one will shop here as most have no money and we already have plenty of empty apartment buildings as is. No just no.

We do not need this! This is a load of ugly, basic crap being crammed into an already overly congested area. It will go further to strip Tallahassee of her natural beauty, and fragment our precious wildlife’s already fragile habitat.

Tallahassee's unique charm and culture rely in part on it's magnificent greenery and in particular, an abundance of live oaks.
It's a shame that the City would even consider allowing the removal of these trees right in the heart of our downtown for any type of development, let alone private development that not even significantly improve the overall lives of our citizens.
I choose to continue to live in Tallahassee, and specifically near downtown in large part because of the unique beauty and investment in our cities' natural landscape.
Our canopy roads and live oaks are as much a part of our city as its people. Please don't allow these trees to be destroyed.

I spend a great deal of time at Cascade Park and around these trees. I treasure their presence and natural beauty. The destruction of trees as historic and special as these would be a real shame for the community, as well as its future. Please allow them to continue to live and grow.
