Save the Campus Nurse

Don't cut a service that helps students like this one!

Health services are so important and students should not feel or be left to deal with illnesses alone.

From someone who currently utilizes the nurse in campus for my many health problems, I believe it would be detrimental to the school and community to remove this position.

The campus nurse is a very important and nessisary role on campus. When visiting campus, one of the first questions we asked was whether there was an on campus nurse. To lose this position would take from both current students and from students considering the college in the future.

Student health should be a number one priority on any college campus due to the limited availability of medical providers and students with limited funds and insurance. Please reconsider this decision.

Students need a nurse when away from home for their health care needs. College is stressful enough, their healthcare does not need to be another hurdle to jump. I couldn't imagine not having access to school physicians when I was in college.

It's asinine to think that Simpson College is even entertaining the idea of eliminating the position of campus nurse.

Katie is crucial to the overall health and well-being of every single student at Simpson College.

The services that nurses provide are necessary for the general well-being of the students at this school.

As an immune compromised student I rely on the nurse as part of the network at Simpson that helps keep me safe. Cutting this resource is detrimental not only to our safety and well being as a whole, it directly endangers disabled students and shows that the administration does not value the well being and safety of that population.

What does getting rid of free health care say about Simpson's commitment to student health?

Why would we want to lose someone that does much for all of us.

A nurse on campus is a need. Getting rid of this position is basically saying that the health of students does not matter to Simpson College.

The campus nurse had helped me on multiple occasions and I appreciate her expertise.

This decision, while cost effective immediately, would have long term affects on the quality of health of Simpson students. Displacing a key resource to students may have detrimental affects to the college as well. Don't cut our resources, cut your waste.

Now, this is ridiculous she is busy helping students on campus that are sick,and as someone with chronic health conditions it helps to have someone manage it. Also, over the past 3 almost 4 years she has been someone I can count on and one hell of a good person. This shouldn't even be a cut to consider.

Keep Katie!!!! Students cannot always make it to a clinical doctor when they are ill. The campus nurse is the most effective medical support students receive.

Keep the nurse!! She saves lives!
