Save the Campus Nurse

We need her on campus, she's already not here enough.

The fact that Simpson is even considering getting rid of our nurse is ridiculous. Katie is a huge asset to our campus and we should be considering making her full time instead of getting rid of her.

We need her!

Katie is amazing staff member who really cares about our students. She is a needed resource and we all love her!

Katie has helped me so much! Don't get rid of her!

The idea that we are considering cutting the campus nurse is deplorable. Having access to her only 3 days a week is still poor circumstances for students who are, for example, without a car or without insurance. While many small colleges and big universities have full time nurses it would be shocking to attend a school that does not appear to value the health of their students .

SAVE THE NURSE

I was fortunate enough to have an internship with katie Lee while I attended Simpson. I learned so much from her and was shown true care a nurse gives for her patients. Not only is this position important to the school, but so is Katie.

I do not see how a college could not have a nurse. Cutting the nursing position makes absolutely no sense.

Don't cut the nurse's position! As an alum, I benefited MANY times from their services. Whether it was my numerous sinus infections, or the scary day I got a concussion, they were always there!

I love our nurse.

As college students, we have high levels of stress and live in groups of people. Both of these factors put us at a heightened risk for illness. As an aspiring health professional, I believe having a nurse of campus is absolutely essential to our Simpson Community and there would be many repercussions if this position was eliminated.

This is one of the benefits that as a parent lured us to Simpson. It would be a huge loss for not only the students but parents ease of mind as well.

Having a nurse on campus is so important! From checking on people to when they are sick to helping out with bee stings, we need someone on campus for help.

The school nurse always takes the time to listen to all that you have going on, and she is patients and kind. She works to find out exactly what is going on, and I love that she emails me for a check up on how I'm doing so that I know she cares about my health. It is really hard to get off campus to go to Walmart with a busy schedule and I know I can go to the nurse quickly and get what I need to make me feel better. If she wasn't there I'd be coughing excessively and using toilet paper for tissues because the school does not have tissues in classrooms.

The nurse is an invaluable resource on campus. It is ridiculously that Simpson would even consider getting rid of our main contact for health concerns on campus.

I've gone to the nurse multiple times and she has been such a big help. Some people don't have time to go and make an appointment just to find out they have a cold. She is so conviniet and has way better manners than most nurses I have ever encountered at a clinic in town. Getting rid of her job would be a mistake and a big upset to the whole campus.

Katie was extremely helpful to me Freshman year when I was really sick and bedridden. She came by to check on me and bring me some things that I needed!

I support this cause. The nurse is such a valuable asset to Simpson College and instead of cutting her, we should get a full time nurse.
