This is a festival for which I'd travel back home to New Orleans. Hearing happy, nonviolent and non-profane (!!!) revelry outside my window was one of the great joys that I've missed most since leaving a couple of months ago. The bayou St. John, and many of the people who live near there, are close to my heart, and it saddens me that a few of its residents would like to micromanage. The bayou is indeed a quiet and beautiful ripple through the city at times (the amount of pre-dawn runs there are countless and happy memories), but it is also the perfect place to congregate and celebrate the blessing that is being alive during a New Orleans spring/summer. One of the pro-regulation residents mentioned wanting the FSJ area to be more like Lakeview…here's a solution--MOVE TO LAKEVIEW IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN LAKEVIEW :)

Bayou Boogaloo has grown exponentially over the past couple years and the fact that its free is what makes it so great. Being a local of Mid City and Bayou St. John I can tell you that we all look forward to the festival every year and I beg you to help keep it free to all residents.

Please keep bayou bugaloo free for the neighborhood
Please don't ruin such a lovely event. Everytime I find an event... someone turns it into a "money maker" and ruins it for all the regulars.
