I love this festival because it employs local musicians and vendors along with being free. As a single mom I appreciate a free festival where I do not have to force my 5 year old to stay all day to get my ticket value worth. We can come and go as we please. I've adored this festival from day one. Please keep it free.

Keep the Bayou Boogaloo an annual fixture along the Bayou St. John. Placing exorbitant upon the festival organizers will ruin the overall intent and spirit of the festival.

When I moved to NOLA 20 years ago, my big decision on where to live was Bayou St. John or Uptown. There aren't any free festivals left Uptown.

Free festivals in New Orleans are one way the city separates herself from major metropolitan counterparts. There can never be a justification to cause the extinction of one of them, especially greed. The banks of the bayou have been long neglected by the city leaders and this action screams political shenanigans. How can the city claim rights and responsibilities that have been abdicated? The Mothership Foundation has brought some of the beauty back to Bayou St. John. They should be praised, not punished. I reject the effort to increase the rent for the Bayou Boogaloo Fess. Keep it free and keep it.

Bayou Boogaloo is an essential vehicle for non-profits to raise funds. Raising the rental fees is merely greedy.
