Airport KCMs are good for business. The easier crews can get to their aircraft the less delays there are going to be. On-time departures makes airlines happy (more money for the port) and it makes passengers happy (return customers).

I fly for SkyWest, and this will add untold delays and inconvenience to my daily workplace. There are untold solutions to this problem, but the City is closing the checkpoint without having a backup plan or understanding its significance.

This is a huge commuter city for ALOT of crew plus the lines in aM are horrendous , if you get rid of KCM you will be doing a disservice to flight crew as well tour own employees making this more chaotic having to deal with crew in pre check lanes

Airports half BOI’s size and TSA staffing have KCM. BOI gets far more crew going through than those airports. Try PDX’s model or SMF’s model where it’s on demand KCM and we ring a bell or pick up a phone and a TSA person walks over to the KCM stand.

I am a First Officer for Southwest Airlines. I am requesting that you don’t close KCM in Boise. There is very little cost to the TSA, but a huge convenience for the many crew members that transit the checkpoint.

KCM is so much more than just something “convenient” for crew members - it is a necessity. It reduces crew member stress and fatigue and it is economically advantageous as it helps flights leave on time.

KCM is an essential part of any commercial airport. It’s a privilege that Flight Crews and our companies value highly demand as a part of our workplace. BOI KCM is essential and should be treated as such!
