My grandad was a big Blues fan and in 1906 he would have been 18. I like to think he was in The Boar that day.

If the Blue Boars so does a bit more of Southend's history. If all our old buildings,whatever them are, go Southend will just be a totalling boring town. Oh, sorry city! Keep these building of interest. We don't need more new builds.

I was born in the next road to this pub and have not only have I drunk there I’ve enjoyed looking at the architecture it definitely deserved to be maintained for future generations.
