There is already no parking and there are some questionable folks around. Making folks park further away to visit those businesses also puts them in danger!

With all of the spaces available in this town, you had to pick this? Choose another one!

This spot is much too conspicuous to be home to a dumpster.

I would think you would want to support your local businesses instead of making it harder on them..sad!

Parking is already limited. This would create less spaces and could make The Orr Street Studio businesses loose current and potential new business.

No this is not an appropriate use of the space

This particular business area & green space is not appropriate for the compactor/recycling containers. Surely the City of Columbia can find a more appropriate place.

Let's keep available parking open for customers of this very fine Salon!

The city needs to rethink this proposal. This would not have a positive effect on the area or surrounding businesses.

An inappropriate location for the proposed facility.

Studies prove that green space decreases crime rates in proximity.

I believe this will have a negative impact and the whole area, businesses, and patrons both.

Trash bins and recycling containers in this space? Really! Really! There appear to be several issues here: - already limited parking - destruction of a small gem of beauty in a sea of asphalt. - significant pedestrian and bike traffic subject to the hazards of broken glass and run-away trash - risk of personal injury and expensive tires at the mercy of the broken glass--and there will always be broken glass; it's a rule -and the ripe aroma of collected trash on a hot summer day--I can smell it now--as it travels round trying to overpower the wonderful scent of the eateries on both the east and west side of the street This area is mostly inhabited by small business folks who are so valuable in making our country what it is, who save us from the horrors of the giant chains, and who face many challenges--both personal and financial--in living their dream and making it come true. Many things make Columbia unique and special; putting stinky bins in this spot is definitely NOT one of your finest decisions. PLEASE do not place these smelly eyesores in our oh-so-very-special Orr Street Art District!

This move will destroy the Beach Salon small business, which is something we should consider rather than irrationally moving things around.

Dumpsters in Columbia Streets, Really! Destroying the appeal of the business district. Destroying a small business like the Beach Salon. Destroying the possibility of Elderly Clients to continue participation with their favorite 1st Class Business due to lack of parking. Destroying the enjoyable experience before entering a 1st Class Columbia Business and the bad smell and taste left in ones mouth for the City upon leaving. Destroying the desire of Clients to the Beach Salon to shop other Downtown Businesses. Destroying ALL confidence that Downtown Business Owners, Shoppers, and Residents have in the "City Council". City Council Members, Do What's Right for Small Business, Columbia, and your Reputation, Dump the Idea of Dumping on City Streets and Small Business!
