During the public review period for the Initial Study/ Mitigated Negative Deceleration (IS/MND) associated with this project, send a comment that includes a critique of the analysis in the document. It is not sufficient to state that you are opposed to the proposed project. If you can write a letter demonstrating that the analysis in the IS/MND is incorrect and this has resulted in an incorrect significance determination, the City would be required to spend more money on the environmental review process and this would have the potential to derail the project. See section 15093.5 of the CEQA guidelines for more information.
Or let the City Council know that you plan to hire a CEQA attorney to fight the project and watch them find a new site overnight.

Destroying park land is rarely in the best interest of a community. There must be a better way. Thank you.

The Disc Golf course at La Mirada Regional could easily be the best in the state. I have met dozens of people while playing at other courses that say La Mirada is the best they have ever played at.

When the County's analysis shows that more than half of the city of La Mirada experiences high or very high park need, removing amenities like the backside at La Mirada is a mistake. Like the regional park, the adjacent ball golf course is also owned by the County. Even though goal 1 in the City's General Plan calls for the City to "Provide a diverse range of high-quality park and
recreation facilities and programs that meet the needs of all residents," it seems as though the City's leadership is going down the path of appeasing the wealthier ball golf community. If you care about disc golf, the historical significance of this course, or equity I implore you to ask the La Mirada City Council why siting the maintenance facility at the ball golf course was not selected.

By removing part of the course you lose hope for those working on getting out and riding their depression, or slowly getting into shape and possibly the most important of all a place for kids to do something safe and fun. Please reconsider as disc golf family runs deep and we appreciate you guys listening
