This simply is a ridiculous idea. Backpacks are a staple of student life and banning them will in no way clear the halls

first of all is females have products that we need daily in school. do you really expect us to carry around these products in a CLEAR string bag. another concern is theft. carrying around money or valueables in these bags is an invitation to being stolen.

Yet another bad idea from the CDH admin, glad I won't have to deal with this one either way but neither should anyone else!

no backpacks= forgetting work, traffic in the hallways, no where to put your extra stuff, and even more stressed kids. no one will want to come to cdh anymore:/ smh

I believe backpacks are a good way to prove individuality and a great way to save time in between classes. also many students spent a lot of money of backpacks to use throughout high school.

At least having to wear lanyards was somewhat funny, but the whole no backpack thing is absolutely ridiculous.

Without backpacks, I'm going to forget books and homework, causing me to miss valuable class time when I have to run to my locker to get my books. Don't pull down the whole student body for an issue you have with a few kids in one grade.

Getting rid of phones and casa tuesdays was bad enough. No one will want to go to CDH anymore if they continue to make rules that are unnecessary and frankly removes our individuality. They already are getting less and less students every year and it's because of the lack of respect the students feel the administration has for them.

I'm a CDH alum who finds this idea absolutely preposterous. It will only worsen the hallway traffic (nobody wants to carry more than 2 classes worth of stuff at a time), as students will have to continuously go to their lockers. During my years, I had classes scattered everywhere and sometimes barely made it to a class in the C building when coming from the A WITHOUT going to my locker. Not only that, but it strips individuality. In a school that already has uniform requirements, prohibiting backpacks is essentially taking away the last bit of individuality the students look forward to having. There's also the fact that many parents / students have already purchased backpacks for the upcoming year, and those do not come cheap (not if they're quality, anyway). I read over the information given by administration & it just seems to me that none of it would work out the way the school is intending for it to. I see too much potential for the entire concept to backfire. Disappointed at the lack of thought that went into this.
Are backs won't hurt after the days
I agree
save them
