This petition was very thoughtfully written. I think it's very important for students to be able to pick their backpacks when the rest of their uniform is already chosen. Self expression is important. <3

There are problems with hallway congestion as it is. Adding an extra stop to lockers between classes will only add to the conjestion

I think taking away backpacks is a bad decision where are people gonna hide their personal items from people like if a girl is on her period and she usually keeps her stuff in her backpack she will have to walk all the way to her locker and she might not have the time to do that and carrying our book in our hands is gonna hurt or spines more becuase we will be hunched over I know this advice will most likely not be heard but I hope it will be

We pay how much money to be denied the use of a backpack? Last time I checked the backpacks aren't doing the stealing it's the individual. Even if you take away backpacks it's not going to stop an individual from stealing, they're going to find a new way around it... solve the problem on hand administration. As a Cdh alum I am very disappointed.

In my time here at cdh, I have not heard a SINGLE complaint about having backpacks. Whereas I have only known about this rule for exactly a week and I have heard countless complaints from upset parents and students. This is a completely unnecessary and harsh step that cdh administration is taking. What do they expect us to do with our personal effects when we have a crammed, small drawstring bag with no pockets and that is full of heavy books? They can't possibly expect us to be running to our lockers every passing time to get important materials.

Please let the students have their backpacks! A stressed out student, late for classes, forgetting items... great recipe for disaster.

Why punish the entire student body for specific kid's theft and need for weed? Fix the problem with those kids rather than ruin everyone else's experience.

Just because we are students of a private school doesn't mean we can be subject to demeaning and degrading policies that fail to take due consideration for students and the fallacies that come with force fed regulation that are only meant to enforce a near Orwellian types of restrictions even when they have already shown themselves as incompetent at phasing in even the most simple of mandates such as the lanyards that went about as well as a 12 car pile-up

Stupid rules, people can grow up and make sure they don't lose anything. It's not the student who is stolen froms fault, it's the thief at a school whos thinks it okay to steal. Punish the thieves not the students.

This ridiculous policy does not represent the CDH I remember. Privacy and individuality should be more respected.

This just sounds like changing cdh to become a harder middle school.
