The Angel has been an important factor in clowne for so long. Lots of great memories for lots of people. Clowne will never be the same without it! Please build on the plot where the crown is. Makes sense and at least nobody will loose their jobs ets.....

Hundreds of houses being built 4 more won't make a difference the angel has always been a huge part of the community only place to eat in an evening.

The meals here are lovely and very good value. Why don't they build across the road at the derelict Crown?

I've lived in Clowne all of my life (41 years) and the Angel pub has always been here and it should stay!!!

Thankyou all so much for your support taking the time to sign this petition, wether it will actually make a difference is highly unlikely but it's great to know that people actually care after the week we've had, especially you Chris Elsden (nags head) thankyou for the solidarity it's really uplifting to know we have you all on side. Whatever happens I hope the hundreds of signatures on here show the authorities what a mess there making of this country, money talks unfortunately and the fat cats will no doubt get their way in the end. We don't need more houses, the support network in Clowne can't cope as it is, eg both the infant and junior schools are already full to capacity in old outdated buildings and you can't get doctors appointments when you need one
