The Amp IS historic as it is. It probably doesn't have any certifications because everyone thought it was obvious.

I attribute Chautauqua with how I became Me. A great part of my development came from what I experienced at the Amphitheater!Improve the benches, maybe make the concrete ramps safer.. Preserve yhis national treasure!

If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it. This historic structure is perfectly functional--and highly aesthetically pleasing--just as it is.

Demolishing is not the way to progress. One of the many benefits of attending this great place is knowing that you are in the same assembly space that others beofre us have been in. If authenticity is so important and the listing oin the National Register was so improtnat, then the Board needs to seriously reconsider what they are on the Board for.

The amphitheater is a special place, with an incredible history that should be retained. People love attending events in that facility, and appreciate all the building has seen and heard.

The charm of the Chautauqua Institute is it's historical houses and buildings, and the Amphitheater is the gem! Please don't take away the centerpiece and the biggest draw of the Institute!

Make the necessary improvements, but retain the essence of what many consider to be the center of Chautauqua, emotiionally, joyously, and worth celebrating.
