The history of this structure must be preserved. If not, a great deal will be lost due to the will of a handful of people who seem out of touch with the people they are supposed to be serving.

It would be a sin to demolish this historical landmark. It is by far one of the most beautiful buildings on the Chataqua grounds and holds MANY fond memories for young and old alike from all over the country.

I am a property owner and have been coming to Chautauua for over 15 years. Killing the amp then rebuilding it is a horror. I would not like to see a stage play presented in Chautauqua about the gross demolition of this historic and beautiful structure only to replace it with some new age "copy" which certainly can not be accomplished.

This building should be preserved and not demolished. If we let them do this we might as well let them destroy the ford theater in Washington and all the old theaters and venues across the world. We need to set an example here and show that preservation works and it gives the experience that will be lost with these changes. I'm so sick and tired of the 1% winning again by pushing their money to destroy something. I'm so tired of a bland beige world, and that is what will happen here if we let this great structure be torn down and re-built. Might as well go and destroy many other great public buildings and re-build. The 1970's proved that urban developement did not work. In cities where this happened it did not work and the old that was left is what thrived and grew.
