The amphitheater is a very special place & must be restored & saved, not demolished. Please work with historians & architects who are willing & able to make that happen.

This theatre was one of my first performance venues with the choir camp I went to for 2 years in a row. I have many memories there, INCLUDING the many times I have cried there of happiness. Please do not let this happen!

Such a piece of modern history should not just be thrown away!! With viable options for improvement rather than demolition, I can't believe this was the best option!! What a detrimental effect it will have on all of Chautauqua!

My graduation ceremony was held here and this was the last time my grandmother was able to attend an event before she passed. This place is very sentimental to me how could they consider destroying such a wonderful piece of history?

My mother lived in Chautauqua when she was young. She saw so many celebrities at the Amphitheater. People like Amelia Earhart, Eleanor Roosevelt, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and many more enriched her life. It saddens me to think this place that holds so many treasured memories might be torn down.
