There is no question that the present structure should be improved and preserved for future generations to enjoy! It has been shown that the technology is available to do the job right!

My four sons hd their first exeperince of classicial music being pushed around the perimeter of the Amp in their strollers. Nothing that I have read suggests thatthis oen atmosphere will be maintained. This is not rehabilitation, it is a destruction. Leave the Amp alone!

Spent many days, recording the lectures there. Plus many concerts. It would be a shame.

We had this same argument over the Westfield Hospital where the 9th New York Cavalry may have been treated during the Civil War!!! In Europe these building would be considered New!!

My husband and I have attended many concerts at the ampitheather. We come from Erie, pa and enjoy singers and performers that come to this venue to perform. The unique setting I hope can be saved so that future generations can go visit and enjoy the concerts and the beautiful grounds and lake there too.

Destroying the ampitheater is an affront to the ideals of Chautauqua. Your greed has already destroyed my beloved high school, when will this lust amongst the rich end? You people have way too much money. Why don't you invest in the community that surrounds that great institute instead of redecorating? The people who live there all year sure could use a little of your ill-gotten gains from your greedy corporate profit taking. You people should be better than what you are showing us.

My graduation was here as was my siblings and my stepdaughters. There were few things in this area that I was proud of showing to my now husband who moved here from a big city. This is one of them. PPPp

Please do not destroy this Amphitheater as given my family & friends many wonderful memories to seeing my children graduate, still have 2 to fo , ive seen them perform here in many different occasions. This is a historic place for many.

Chautauqua will never be the same. many that have visited have, always commented on this site and the shows that were enjoyed there. all from the Jamestown High School have gone through Graduation there. the acoustics ate the best. please reconsider. maybe just do a fixer upper project..... to keep this historical spot and mainly what Chautauqua is known for!!!!!!bless you all on your decision.
