The Amphitheater is the beating heart of Chautauqua and it has an incredibly rich history. As a member of the Millennial generation, I believe that it is of paramount importance for my generation to study and appreciate the history from which we come in order to chart a course for the future. Please preserve the Amphitheater for future generations to experience the awe that standing in the same place as so many fantastic tallents and brilliant minds can inspire.

Dear Editor The subtle charms of Chataqua are at risk of being overwrought. The campaign to ‘Save the Amp’ is so obvious and so right – one can only wonder, what is the Board thinking? What will they try next in the name of progress? Instead of replacing the Amp, perhaps the Board itself should be replaced. Seems they have lost their way in the estimation of thousands of who signed on to ‘Save the Amp’. Sincerely Christina Penrose

Some of the best moments of my childhood were here. It is where I heard speakers from places I'd only read about. Such a treasure for the area and such a piece of history should be kept. A historical place like Chautauqua should understand and cherish it, not demolish it!

The amphitheater has been a beloved summer spot for my family for over 40 years. We relsih eac even we attend because the Amphitheater creates the signature ambiance that is world renowned. Renovate to not destroy this wonderful American icon.

Chautaqua seemed to me like aplace where rpeservation would be celebrated. I was surprised to hear that they were considering demolishing the Amphitheater. I hope a more principled approach is pursued.

Create a website for easy access and continue to make the public aware of the situation. This needs to be a world wide petition not limited to within the United State. Save the existing amphitheater for future generation to enjoy !!!!
