I think in general it’s disgusting that Clitheroe council are granting planning permission so easily and ruining a beautiful town

Can't believe I'm reading this news that such a wonderful community corner of clitheroe is set to be destroyed for the sake of yet another unaffordable newbuild house. The people who have built this community garden have put so much love and hard work into it and to imagine it to have all been in vain is downright despicable! Get your acts together and stop ripping the hearts out of communities and the very people who you should be taking care of! I hope at the very least, the community members ( many of whom are my good friends) will be offered a suitable replacement patch of land upon which to transfer to and to continue the project with they have been building up over the last umpteen years. I hope this message gets through and doesn't fall on deaf ears. Regards, Daniel Riley

This allotment has been there for the community for years, teaching youngsters to grow fruit and veg and also creating a sense of community in a time where community is not as important as it once was.

This is more than a community asset at this time - it is an ESSENTIAL service for the well-being, mental health and morale for members of our community.

A great community project, such hard work has gone into this and it would be a crime to take away beautiful garden that is enjoyed by many. It not about money it's about people's welfare

I can not stress enough how important and wonderful this little plot of wildflowers, fruit and vegetables is to both wildlife and the local community. It is a perfect haven of peace, learning and good company, helping so many people including me to escape, for a little time at least, the stresses and strains of everyday life we all encounter from time to time.

No more than ever during Covid we need green space it helps with our well being and mental health. A lot of time, money and care goes into an allotment. Clitheroe is being spoilt by over development.
