Stop the brain drain: save NRW's library at Maes-y-Ffynnon

I've used the library whilst at CCW/NRW many times. There are vital documents and assessments for protected biological and geological SSSIs and Natura 2000 sites which need to be stored under Welsh Government rules for 25 years plus. There are other important and irreplaceable conservation reports, resources and materials which need public access for the future. Please listen to and consider alternative arrangements for archive and storage rather than destruction.

Save the library

The destruction of libraries needs to stop. The loss of learned, knowledgeable employees is a loss to us all and a loss to the UK’s future as a nation.

Libraries are a vital part of our lives - I spent my childhood and much of my adult life in them. They've enabled people without the money or space for books to have access to information, education, healthy escapism as well as being a low-cost social hub.

Please stop this as libraries are important to help with people’s learning

Libraries are an integral part of our communities don't close it ffs!

The loss of the NRW library would be disastrous for the national nature conservation archive in Wales and should be protected at all costs.

NRW are making cutbacks in all the wrong places, cutting back on visitor centres and a library when there’s far too much dead wood at senior management levels.

This service vital source of information for environmental recording and research. Expert librarian staff enable best use of the resources.

Yet another cut. Librarians and libraries are the foundation of civilization and depositories of knowledge in this case environmental. Cut management staff instead.

Essential records for Wales

This is a no-brainer.

An important, unique, and effectively irreplaceable nature resource that warrants saving one way or another!

The dispersal and loss of these books on one site would be greatly to the detriment of growing knowledge about biodiversity in Wales.

Knowledge, and access to important information should never be lost! A basic human right - especially one which enables us to become more educated and capable of lateral thought - should be protected at all costs.

The loss would be out of proportion to the savings, unless knowledge isn't thought to matter.

NRW keep funding this library,Coed Y Brenin,Nant y Arian and stop the New proposed NationalPark we don't need or want.Look at the 2 big NP's they are so busy the infrastructure of the area cannot cope.WE DONT WANT THAT IN MID WALES. SAVE THE THINGS PEOPLE NEED AND USE..

NRW should be funded properly. Wales has a large area but a small population. The Barnet formula for Welsh Government funding uses population

This is important resource and must be maintained.

The library is a great source of scientific and environmental knowledge.
