Closing this valuable resource is stupid and short-sighted. Shame on Welsh Government cutting funding to NRW. Keep the library and the librarians and save money elsewhere.

A terrible loss of an essential resource. Outrageous.

The library offers an excellent service to the public. The librarian is very good at sending me copies of reports etc which I use for developing voluntary plant surveys and responding to public consultations on environmental issues. The majority of the information I require is not available anywhere else. My work as the BSBI Vice County recorder benefits the work of NRW. I not be able to do so much rare plant recording without this library service.

I fully support keeping this resource open. I do not expect this email address to be used for anything else other than authenticating my signing this petition.

There is a need to rethink the NRW funding cut all round. The proposals are short-sighted in the extreme and undermine the Welsh Government' entire approach to the country's natural capital and its future sustainability.

We need librarians more than ever in a world of fake news and misinformation. NRW needs skilled library professionals so its staff can make decisions based on evidence.

Libraries such as this & their knowledgeable staff are an essential resource for current & future generations.

It is incredible that a science-led government organisation thinks it can manage without a library. "Oh you can find everything online now" say the people whose grasp of environmental matters is on the level of BBC Countryfile.

Seriously???!

This is a very short sighted move. Once the books are gone, they will never be replaced.

The Welsh Government should be fully supporting NRW in the time of so many threats to the Welsh environment

When I worked for CCW and NRW, access to the library was essential for my work. The librarians were excellent and saved me a lot of time, so I could do my own work more easily and efficiently. They are core staff.

The NRW library and staff should not be considered as expendable; it is a valuable resource and irreplaceable

Libraries are a lot more than just books - though the books are good too!

Shocked to hear the library will close, this is a short-sighted decision
