All 3 of my girls participated in activities at Huckabee field. It not only provides recreation but it provides a safe place to grow. It will be a very sad day if you close down this ball field. Stand up and do the right thing for the community.

I cheerleaded there as a child. I'd like to see my child have an opportunity to play sports there as well.

Grew up playing Football and Baseball at Hukabee Sports Complex! Made a lot of good memories and some of my really close friends there! Thought Surfside was about family you know "The Family Beach"... All they want is to build more condos so they can make more money off the retired northerners that come here and complain about everything

My son loved playing coaches pitch baseball last year and learned so much. It would be a shame if the program is eliminated.

Our youth need these fields. Our town is suppose to be a FAMILY oriented town but all the mayor and city council want is to take from our youth. Build your condos else where. Stop thinkiing about putting more money in your pockets from the sales of the units. We need to be supporting our youth to be active and molding them to be successful healthy adults. I have seen the full basket courts on Surfside drive that where always full be removed leading to more youth walking the streets and getting into trouble. You wanted to do away with surfing and now the ball fields. Our youth need to be outside being active, learning how to work as a team, following instructions, learning to control their anger, learning respect for others, and in graining a life style that prepares them to remain healthy, active, and productive adults.

Instead of cutting out a program lets add to the programs and let the park become a source of revenue.

We moved here this past June and the first thing we researched and made contact with was this organization. Baseball and youth sports is such an absolute necessity in our communities, it would truly be a shame and quite frankly irresponsible for it to be cut and no longer supported! Do what's right!

I grow up in mallard landing right beside the park played ball here. I now take my two kids to the playground on the parks grounds to play save this park.

I played softball here for several years, and the memories I made are some of the best ones of my life. Please reconsider the removal of any funding to this wonderful organization, and show the parents of Surfside Beach that you support them and their children.
