You say surfside is a family community however children are part of that and you want to ruin something that means alot to them.

I grew up playing ball here as a kid as well as many of my friends and family. Don't take this from today's youth.

We need more spaces for kids to run, get exercise, and have good safe fun. Don't take that away from them.

As a Surfside resident for more than 30 years, it would be a tremendous disservice to our community, the family beach, if town council makes such a bad descision

My cousins grew up playing ball here and I would love to have my children grow up there as well. Surfside is such a great family community and these ball fields add to it!

Played ball here when I was in 8th grade. I had just moved to Myrtle Beach, and made some of my first friends here on those fields. Would be such a shame to see them go.

Please keep this wonderful community program funded. The kids really need a positive place to spend time and learn valuable life lessons. Thank you.

I'm an Horry County native. I grew up watching my cousins and friends play year after year of little league baseball in Surfside. I remember when they opened the fields on Glenn's Bay Rd. Then, when my own children were old enough to play, of course, they started in the Surfside League. I can not imagine why someone would want to take this away from the community. Even my husband played little league baseball in Surfside. This is a family tradition that is so important to so many people. Please do not take this beloved past time away.

This is absolutely absurd to do such a thing. What is a child hood without sports. That is taking a lot away from our youth...
Keep the park open!
