For many years our son has enjoyed playing baseball at Huckabee Park. A lot if time and money have been put into the facilities create a great experience for the children playing and their families. We support keeping Huckabee Park because it is a vital part of our community and youth. There are not many places for our young children to play as it is around the Grand Strand, it would be sad to see something that benefits our youth and community taken away.

My son plays here it is how he made new friends when we first moved here. It would be terrible to try and relocate to another park.

I played here 4 years and loved it I had many friends and the fields are in perfect shape.

Save this park and all of the good things that come from engaging kids in sports. I have so many great memories of playing and watching games here and want kids of this generation to have the same opportunity!

Grew up in Surfside, Softball/baseball was a huge part of our family time. Please, let's find a way to keep this park.

My child has played for Surfside for the last 6 years and I think it would be a shame to discontinue this league. It really brings community together while teaching children the meaning of teamwork and friendship. Sad world

I can't imagine the city of Surfside would not continue to support Baseball and offer assistance to the organization. As one of the founding board member of the Surfside Beach youth sports organization, it's been a pleasure to help serve on this organization as well as watch my sons play at the Surfside Fields. We must keep the games going!!

My son just played his first season with Surfside baseball. Immediately I noticed his conifidence increase. Instead of watching tv and playing video games he was exercising and playing outside with kids. We were looking forward to continuing with this program. The next time the you even think that this generation of kids are lazy whiners, please remember that you pulled the programs that would teach them the lessons you all had the privledge of learning young because you mishandled the money.

Both of my girls have participated in sports at Huckabee. I'm grateful we had that opportunity and would love to see that same opportunity given to other children.
