My son plays here every year. To de-fund it would be a mistake and I will not vote for anyone who votes to take away baseball and softball.

Have you all lost your minds? Why in the world would you do this? If it only changes one childs life isn't that worth it? Kids need these activities....I surely hope and pray that this isn't about money..Please reconsider and let the kids play.

Obviously non of you on city council know anything about the importance of youth sports in our community. Is this a political decision based on revenue or is the land now earmarked for condos or housing. I have had two sons play ball there as well as coached there for many years, call me sometime and I will explain all of the life skills that our children learn on a ball field above and beyond the game of baseball.

I CANNOt believe surfside wants to end baseball. When I was a young whipper snapper I used to do 1000 crunches a day before our games in the dugouts. How do you think I developed the BESt abs south of the mason Dixon line. Keep baseball in surfside. If not for the love of he game. Do it for the love of the AbS

Would be terrible to get rid of this field. I met a lot of my friends on this field when I was in the 8th grade. It was a very special time for me, because this was before I went to college and my friends pissed on me when I was passed out, photographed it and sent it to everyone I know because I became and egghead liberal. 843-650-1031 please leave a message if you disagree.

Mike Hunt, Ader Titsoff, Buster Cherry, Dixon Butts, Hugh Gass, Peter Beater and myself all grew up playing on that ball field. It would be a damn shame to see it go!

All 3 of my children played rec ball at Huckabee complex. It was a great time in our lives and children need this Park to continue the fun and fellowship of sports. Keep this Park open!
