I was CIO of our Little League for Baseball/Softball for 2 years in PA plus my husband coached many years. What the kids learn on the fields and with their team is unbelievable and so much more than them sitting around in front of a TV/Computer/Phone. They learn some life skills.

My kids grew up there, they helped me build a positive foundation in life for them to succeed! I want my grand niece and nephew and maybe grandchildren to do the same.

It would be a true shame to see Surfside take away the baseball program. Many families, many hours, bonding over baseball and hot dogs!

Youth sports teaches kids healthy competition and keeps them out of trouble. My son played in Surfside for many years, and although he is too old to play now, I would really hate to see the program end for those kids that are behind him.

My son has played surfside baseball for 6 years, has made countless and lasting friendships and has learned many life skills. My daughter played softball last year and fall ball, her first year and she loves it! It's a great program, with some great people.

The park provides an environment that makes this town a true family beach. We live in the immediate neighborhood and if the town sells the property for development, we will definitely be selling.

many great memories there while my son was growing up. It would be a shame to take away the opportunity for the kids now to make their own memories. Great park, the town has a responsibility to the youth to keep it open.

This activity is important to the youth in our community and provides them a good wholesome place to be kids and stay fit! It's sad that taking from our youth is how you cut the budget I'm sure there are less important things you could re-allocate money from.

I believe it's important to keep the programs available for our youth, too many children are trapped inside staring at a computer screen of some kind.

Our children need fresh air, sunshine and sports. If you do away with this you are an enemy of children and you only love money and you are just evil.
