My friend Charla sent her kids to the school and she said it was a good environment and a provided a better learning experience than most other schools.

Stober was the springboard which elevated my child into the Lakewood IB program. I feel it's closing would be detrimental to the neighborhood and current students as well as future generations.

My kids moved next to this school so that my grandchildren could attend your school. Please don't close the school down, it is very important for the community to have access to good schools such as this one.

This school is centrally located in an established neighborhood that was developed in the 1960’s and ‘70’s. Many families with young children are moving into the neighborhood with the intent of sending their children to Stober. It is evident with the large enrollment at Stober that even with some “choice” students coming in that many families enjoy being able to walk with their children to this neighborhood school. Demolishing Stober would be detrimental to the neighborhood.

My son was transferred to Stober as a Special Education student and his year and a half there was transformative. His teacher was highly competent and committed to mh son's success, helping him to fully integrate into this wonderful school community. Stober is a very positive and vital school environment, and I implore you go keep Stober open, alive and well!

My family moved to Jeffco in 2009 from out of state excited about the quality of the public schools. We left to avoid the instability. Stober was walking distance from our home, an anchor for our community, a cornerstone that we shared with our neighbors of all generations. If we had stayed and Stober were to close, we would have had to find a charter or private school option. I am thankful that I was able to sell my house before the close of Stober. How sad for applewood property values. The emotion behind closing this school is real. The support to keep it open runs deep. The motivation to move to a better school district will be on the table for all those who can consider the option.
