Good afternoon. I understand that a letter has apparently been sent by Peter Hoccom to the Governors of St Michael's apparently on behalf of "the Parents". The vast majority of "The Parents" are not aware of the contents of this letter and we certainly don't want anything to do with it. It seems that a certain person is stirring a great deal of muck on behalf of "The Parents". This letter hasn't been circulated as far as I'm aware. I (and several other parents) wish to distance ourselves from this letter. Also, a comment was placed on another social media (Save St Michael's School) site yesterday by the administrator saying that St Michael's is a "unique school for children who don't fit in elsewhere". This paints an incorrect picture and gives the impression that the school is a school for rejects and misfits. My children would fit into any school and I am sure that the vast majority of parents think the same thing. this "Save St Michael's School" Facebook page run by Hoccom is also openly encouraging students at the school to write comments. It is my opinion (and the opinion of several other parents) that this is wrong and could get out of hand. Unfortunately, I'm unable to go to tomorrow's meeting as I'm working, but will do my best to be there somehow. Hoccom has now "blocked" me from posting on the "Save St Michael's" page. Suprise, suprise, suprise. it seems that anyone who doesn't agree with his comments isn't allowed to say so. i have it on good authority that Hoccom has now thrown his eggs out of the basket anyway, so hopefully, the parents can have a sensible discussion with the best interests of the school and children at heart. Most people want to see St Michael's flourish and the children happy. Can I suggest that Parents don't contribute to any of these social media sites which can only do harm than good. My Son was in mainstream "education"; If he had been a school, like St. Michaels, I am sure that the teachers would have picked up on his blindness, instead of putting him at the back of the class and thinking he had ADHD! Stop thinking about saving money and try investing a little time and money in our future. It is a tried and tested formula.

I live in/near Bodmin, both my wife and I are worried for the ability of the state to locally provide an education for our children where they feel they are listened to and that their thoughts and ideas and feelings count,
we are thinking/needing to move west of here for work related reasons but are at a loss as to where to place our children in the knowledge they are being properly educated!
Yes Money is tight but that's because its being spent on the wrong things! Our children's welfare and education, not indoctrination, is an investment opportunity that we sideline at our own future peril as ultimately it will be they who decide how we get treated in our old age!
Lets hope those who can help effect a change do so and do it soon.

It all boils down to pure greed, the fat cats are getting fatter and they do not care who they crush on their way! Yes we needed a new sponsor, but figures and statistics mean more to them than the feelings of all the children and all staff of the school. I hope thief see this petition and see that parents will not just roll over and let the sponsors change everything that St Michael's stands for...!!

We were hoping for our autistic son to go to st michaels in 18 months time because we were drawn to its smaller class sizes and positives we had heard, it would be terrible for it to change
