Steve is so much more than a postman. His ready smile and upbeat nature are a positive tonic for everyone he meets. His kindness is legendary – like the flowers he bought for a pensioner following the death of her husband of nearly 60 years. They remained in a vase on view long after they lost their bloom and were constantly referred to in conversation. He is an ambassador for Royal Mail and most definitely shouldn’t be moved.

I was concerned and surprised to read that you are planning to move our lovely postman Steve, on.The saying If it ain't broke don't fix it comes to mind! I am very disappointed to learn that our friend Steve the postman is going to be moved away after all these years.
Please please please reconsider this decision. Steve knows the area and all the families that live here and is like family. It is lunacy to move him away to another area-for what? To start all over again doing the same job for people he does not know or who probably don't care about him!!
We will end up with a new postman we don't know who cannot possible be as friendly and helpful as Steve. We don't need the change and we don't want the change.
I hope the bureaucrats running the sorting office can understand that delivering the post is important and with Steve we have someone we can trust.
