Too dangerous for our children to walk to & from school w/out sidewalks or even a bike lane or shoulder available. The winding roads & poor visibility is difficult for drivers, yet alone young children trying to walk on Quinlan from homes in the Grove or Caslano neighborhoods to school.

We have no sidewalks to get to and from Caslano. We rely on the bus system. Please keep them!

It's 1.75 miles from our house to CRMS. My son will not be walking that to and from school. If I drive him, I add to the traffic as does every parent around me.

This is a dangerous decision for kids to be walking on a busy road or parents to increase traffic in an already heavy traffic area. Many of these routes are greater than 2 miles from the school despite LISDs statement that these routes are less than 2 miles. Please don’t drop these routes!

My husband and I both work and need our son to have bus transportation home after school. We are two miles from school and there isn’t a safe route for him to trek this distance daily.

Estates at Westridge is over 2 miles from SRE. The traffic is already congested. Eliminating the buses is bad for the environment, adds to the traffic congestion, inconveniences parents and kids. And is dangerous to elementary school kids that will have to walk for over 2 miles on busy congested streets and cross Busy dangerous Quinlan Park Road.

Please keep the crms bus routes for areas farther than 1.5 miles from the school. We live on Shadestone terrace at the back of UTGC. It’s a 4 mile walk. My husband and I both work. While we can occasionally drive our kids to school, often we rely on the bus to take or bring them home. This walk would be extreme. If there was severe weather my son would be walking or riding a bike in dangerous conditions for over 15 minutes.

The roads have not improved so why in the world would they take the buses away? If they needed them before, doesn't it make sense that they would still need them?

WHY? Just want to know that really... Why would our HOA vote to get rid of school bus routes? I can't think of any conceivable reason beyond personal preference or agenda. Right? Think about it... who cares that there are bus routes for kids, unless you really don't want them.

Taking away buses will cause HIGH traffic, this is dangerous, way to far for most of these kids, walking along QUINLAN, are you serious? Kids joke with each other and push each other like boys do-I can just see kids playing around and some kid gets pushed accidentally onto Quinlan and run over

Quinlan is a very dangerous road with a high speed limit. It is very unsafe for our children to walk almost 2 miles along the Quinlan. Also, many middle school children participate in the Band program, and they have to carry heavy musical instruments every day. Besides, it will create more traffic.
