My dad who was born in 1913 worked for British Steel his whole life including during the war where steel making was vital. This area was born from steel and we must not lose our heritage or people's livelihoods.

The North East needs help from our government. You've bailed other companies out & now you need to bail SSI out. Our families & our area depend on it & we need to keep it open.

We need help to weather the storm until the price of slab steel improves. Don't let steel making die on Teesside.
