Everything within the power of this government needs to be done to save SSI, Italy have just helped one of their steel plants. Its about time this government put the needs of this country first!!!!!!

Recognising that world steel prices are depressed because of over production, China, and stockpiling I urge you to enter negotiations with the Thai owners and ensure the long term future of the plant can be assured. demand will return. We need a viable factory when it does.

It's sickening to no that our own government won't help at all. Teeside is going to be like a ghost town once again. People don't realise the knock in affect this will have on all the other business around it... . I am an employee at ssi as a contractor and my husband. My sister and her partner also work there to.

I used to live in Dormanstown, whe my dad worked at Dorman and Long Steel Works, in the early 1960`s. I still have family who live and work in Tees-Side, and one cousin who still works at the Steel Mills. It will tear the heart out of the community, as it has with the mining communities. Please Mr Cameron, we need to keep some heavy industry in the \uk.
