My late father worked for Dorman Long as a blast furnace man for over 50yrs. Can't imagine Boro without our steel industry

Steel is not only critical to Teesside but also to the nation's manufacturing capability and future. Government must commit to our core industries with action and not just words.

Your loyalty should be to your own countrymen first and foremost, without whose skills and hard work, would not have the foundations to support anything or anyone else. Shame on you for dismissing us, you think we are insignificant, but you are wrong, the skilled workforce are the backbone of this country. Already other workforces are realising they were wrong to remove their workforce to other countries and let them be the suppliers, they are now coming back, I.e call centres, and that's only the start.

Please remember the North East exists and so do its people. The UK is not just about London and the South East. You were all over us earlier in the year when you wanted our votes, so don't ignore us now!!!

jimmy is 94 year old and i am 59 we both worked there and have a lot of family and friends who still do iff the steelworks closes then were lost for words

Keep the light burning in Teesside. So many worked so hard to save it in 2000 we can do it again.

Enough is enough Mr Cameron, step in and save our steel works. The Redcar plant is all we have left. The Conservatives crippled steel making in our area back in the 80s. Thanks to Maggie. Enough is enough.
