I wish to protest to the possible closure of the coke ovens here on Teesside. The government needs to support our steel industry without steel production thousands of families and small businesses will suffer. The secretary for trade and industry should be visiting the company to fight for the long-term future to ensure our workforce remain employed.

Its so sad it has come to this. This country is getting worse. The next thing that will happen is all them men have to sign on the dole so they can feed there family's. Its so wrong. There's not a lot of work out there as it is. Businesses, Factor's Shops even public house having to close there door's. Its disgusting.

This is already an area that is classed as deprived. The people of Teesside cannot afford job losses of this scale, too many families already suffering will be left with nothing!!!
