My Dad worked here for years i dread to think how we would have got by if he had lost his job. Hes retired now we were the lucky ones, i feel very very sorry for these poor people and their families

Instead of the Govt. trying to channel the Chinese money through London to turn a quick buck, maybe they should channel their attention closer to home and invest in the people they depend on through taxes financing the NHS , benefits etc?

I like many others in teeside, rely on SSI to earn a living, please don't let this great plant become redundant like so many others, you can help if you try.

The north east already has a large unemployment rate the closing of the steel works would make this even worse. More jobs are needed not more redundancies

Come on Mr Cameron save Steel and 'Pig' Iron production on Teesside! Following the discovery of Iron Ore on the Cleveland hills the first blast furnace in 1850 produced 13000 tonnes of Iron, don't let it die now!

Ssi has supported me and my children for over 30 years. My husband enjoyed working British steel it would be a shame if it was to close

I work at SSI Teesside.Why is it that the Italian government has bailed one of their steel plants out and yet our government can't do it with our steel works because of EU rules. Well isn't Italy in the EU..??? I'm puzzled. SAVE OUR STEEL!! KEEP BELIEVING BROTHERS.
