#SaveOurSteel As a country we can not afford to let the skills of the workers affected to go to waste. They have contributed much and ask for little in return. Please help!

The steel made on Teesside is the best in the world, it would be criminal to allow steel making here to end!
The government MUST act to secure the jobs of the workforce and those in the supply chain, as well as the wider community who have suffered 10's of thousands of job losses as it is.
We can ill afford to increase joblessness in this area and it would be folly to assume that there will be other jobs available to the workers affected should the steel works close.
Over the years, those involved with steelmaking on Teesside have added £millions to the GDP of this country, it is not asking too much for a little of that to be paid back at this time of need! #SaveOurSteel

Please save SSI. 2 generations of my family have worked there making a good living for themselves as I'm sure many others have. Alternative jobs like this are not so easy to come by.

Keep the steelmaking process going in the north east. The people who work at SSI deserve it. Less talk, action is required right now.
