I can't believe this government will bail out banks with public money ! Yet when it comes to the working class they simply don't care ! So there may be 2000 more on unemployment yet it's ok to keep give to those who have not lived and worked in this country all their lives !

Please help save our local jobs my fiancé works at the steelworks on Teesside and we have two young boys with a mortgage over our heads relying on his job to pay for it all don't know what we would do if it went. Save Our Steel.

Saturday night I watched the last oven being pushed at South Bank Coke Ovens, something I never thought I would see in my life time. I watched grown men cry this is the emotion attached to our little plant the last part of the old Cleveland works. I have worked there for over 31 years and seen some good times and bad times, and Literally shed blood sweat and tears. But the old girl has now gone we have had to watch her die over slowly over the years and she always seemed to have more lives than a cat, but last night marked a sad end to a big part of my life and the lads who worked the from new starters to old timers.
RIP – SBCO.

Teesside steelworks are the pride of all the people in this area , we have provided quality steel by proud and professional steelworkers who have made and built structures all around the world . We cannot allow the government or business people to destroy the heart of our heritage , once this happens we are doomed to live in a forgotten area of the North East which will never recover or return to the days of passionate proud people who always delivered the quality goods over the years

This is not only about the present steelworkers, its the future of the sons and daughters after them. If ever the Conservative government wants to show that they care and have any compassion for our area, now is the time to show it. Be the Tory government that saved our steel not the government that buried its head in the sand and let it die.
