My father in law has worked here for many years, such a shame they have let it get this far. Hope something comes in to save our steel.

If we can bail out the banks we can bail out this vital industry so many rely on.

This is not only to try and save thousands of jobs and secure families' livelihoods, this is for our community, our pride, our heritage and way of life.

Steel forged on Teesside, iron hewn from our hills railed, bridged and spanned the world. We do it best, we need and deserve the work to remain on Teesside. We did our bit for the world - do yours!

If this opportunity is lost manufacturing in England is lost, it must be supported. England cannot depend on the services sector they have to have something to service.

I fully support the plea to government to do ALL they can to prevent the closure at ssi redcar, it will have a devastating impact on a much wider population than the workers alone!
