Teesside will be ruined without our steel industry. It's kept generations in work and made some of the greatest structures the world has seen!

This is not just steel, this is a community. Do not sell our steel production off to any other country, including China. You are decimating British industry.

My dad worked at British Steel, the Chorus for over 25 years until they moth balled it the first time and he was made redundant and we went through hard times now my two youngest brothers work there and have for the last 4 years since it reopened and are now losing there jobs along with the other 1700 people of Teeside. This is an absolute tragic waste and will have a devastating effect on the economy in Teeside with a huge number of people out of work!! How are they all supposed to find jobs once the steel works closes what is left in Teeside??? How are you going to create 1700+ jobs for all of these hard working people. People are going to lose everything they have worked so hard for and I feel that if you can do something for these people you need to stand up and do it now before its to late!!! There must be something that can be done!!

The North East will suffer extensively because of this. Now is the time to stand up for what is best for British people. To me it's inconceivable that as a nation we would chose to bail out banks, yet not support an industry that is so crucial to the survival of an area. We've lost so much industry in the north east it's creating a benefits class, those working class men capable of work have no businesses to employ them. The decline of the area is on the horizon and parliament need to look further north, past their horizon to really appreciate the catastrophe waiting to happen.

David "call me Dave" Cameron, You talk of a northern powerhouse but seem to think nothing exists north of Manchester! You pledged to serve and help the people of Britain, well now is your chance to put your money where your mouth is. Please don't ignore us.

I fully believe in a free market on a level playing field. Can any other country produce steel to the same quality and HSE standards as they can redcar?
