Worked on Redcar Blast Furnace for 38years this is all ive ever known. Im proud to be a steel man & fought to keep it going in 2010 along with my family. The North East is suffering enough with unemployment how much more can we take. Give the steel industry a fighting chance before we become a dying breed.

It's time we helped the workers here by investing in probably the only real industry this country has. They have all worked hard to make this work over the past few years and it would be a shame if this hard work went to waste.

Not governments fault if price of steel is dirt cheap. cheaper countries can still make money on $100 a tonne, the UK can't. it was $450 6 months aho. also eu rules means we can't nationalize it. 'blaming goverment' is just a lazy point of view.
