We need to fight our corner and keep local people in work. It's time that people in the North east were given the respect their hard work and heritage deserves. A lot of the world was built on the back of Middlesbrough Steel. SOS!

There's little enough industry left in the north east, let's keep what we've got, please.

I was lucky enough to visit British Steel at Redcar many years ago - the site that inspired the sets for Bladerunner. It's one of the most awesome and beautiful places I've ever seen, and I travel a lot. And I think the North East has lost enough jobs through closures of heavy industry, thank you.

Why isn't the government helping out the Steel industry? It can find cash if Syria needs help - what about its own people?

Economically you need jobs and exports to fix the deficit you love to talk about Mr Cameron! Here's your chance to show you mean that! Save 1700 jobs!

You need to support and invest in your country's workers. You have given millions to China and Jamaica well that's our money, tax payers money and we would prefer it to be used for our own workers, the ones you keep saying are the back bone of this country.
