It really amazes me the lengths some folks go through to make sure future generations remain ignorant of the truth and its history.

please do not remove the statue. it is beautiful, something I look forward to seeing when in Salisbury. we are just passing through this world, we soon will be gone and what will it matter to us if it gone? let the future generations enjoy it also.

Do not let hate dictate your stance. Racial division will not be solved by the removal of a statue depicting an angel holding a soldier in his last breaths. Focus your attention in areas that truly make a difference. But please do not attempt to receive that attention through the dismantling of another group's history.

We need to quit catering to these outsiders that come to America and then complain about prayer in schools the rebel flag and our choice of religion. The people that are offended by these can pack there bags and go back to wherever the fuck it was you came from..this is America our country and we love and stand behind her 100%.. It's wrong that we have to change our beliefs and heritage to make these non American ass holes happy...

Please keep the statue, do not try to erase our history by looking at negatives only.

Enough is enough! History is our pass. God tells us we cannot change history. Leave the statue alone. It is as appropriate today in honoring our fallen soldiers and wounded warriors.

I'm so tired of hearing about people wanting to change things that's been a huge part of our heritage. If people want to add a Martin Luther King statue then let them do so. Everyone has a right to believe in what ever they choose to. That's what is so great about being an American. If we all just sit around and do nothing about this matter. And people stop caring about things and don't want to get involved. Then don't start complaining when they start to take away things that matter to you.
