Standish is a village not a town, we just can't handle this amount of housing- schools, doctors, roads you name it. Only last week my 81 year old mother had to stand in the NEW doctors due to the number of patients. STANDISH IS FULL

I strongly oppose the proposal to build 1,000 additional houses in Standish. Traffic congestion in the village is already severe at peak times and the additional traffic could result in gridlock. I am also concerned that the additional homes will dramatically change the character of the village - and not for the better.

I strongly oppose to 1000 houses being built in Standish. The roads are already congested and it would be gridlocked with all the extra traffic. We would lose all the wildlife and schools, dentists, doctors etc would not cope.

we do not want any more houses in Standish. We would lose all the wildlife in these open spaces. We have foxes, Canada geese, ducks and moorhens as well frogs. Lots of birds too numerous to mention.
All would go never to return if these plans go ahead.

Standish is struggling to cope already. Has anyone considered reopening a train station in standish. Thrre is room at Bradley lane.

We're are we suppose to go to get some fresh air and be able to walk without the constant noise of traffic were are our open spaces, if what little we have left is being taken away, is it that they wish us all to jump into our cars and drive miles to find some open causing more congestion. What is the use of more houses if there is little or no open green spaces for our children to enjoy.

we moved to Standish because of the beauty and open spaces, we live near to the motorway junction which is already too busy, more traffic would make it unsafe.

Standish is already far too overdeveloped, the road network is choked and the local ammenities cannot cope with more people or traffic.

There is lots of wildlife in the open spaces which will be destroyed no matter what the builders say. Standish CANNOT take the excess traffic, it is bad enough now in 5 years time it would be total gridlock

Traffic through Standish is already at a standstill without adding further houses, the proposed link road will not alleviate any of the current problems or address any health and safety concerns. Already stretched local services (schools, doctors etc) don't have further capacity and I see no proposals in any of the planning applications to increase these services.

I'm signing because the 196 x 2 objection letters to the Bloor Homes/Wainhomes development applications in the Almond Brook/Pepper Lane area, were ignored. Wigan Council's planning committee has approved 600 homes to be built in this area alone, even though their own 'Standish Infrastructure Assessment' said that it was only possible to build up to 500 homes here. The planning committee meeting (24/6/14) was farcical - only 1 person was allowed to speak for 4 minutes against each application and both building applicants were allowed 4 minutes each. In no way were the views of the many objectors represented at this meeting. None of the councillors on the planning committee represented Standish and most of their small discussion before voting consisted of making sure that 'technically' it was possible for them to approve the plans put forward and not only reach, but exceed their target of 1000 homes in Standish overall. This is not democracy.

Where are the new schools to provide the education to all these children
4 ex roads meeting at 1 junction into the village
how are the borough engineers planning to eliminate congestion I suggest not even been discussed
