This ancient building, St.Olaves church in Chester should be kept and renovated for the purposes of historical research. It is a part of history and too many historical sites are being destroyed, do not let it get destroyed, rather invest and keep ones heritage. I wish you all the best of luck for this project.

Why let an authentic site go to waste, when you'll only have to build/convert somewhere less suitable when you feel the need to keep up with 'heritage stuff' in competition with other major cities who are ahead of the game already?

Definitely for this :) we need more Viking places!!
Converting this important building into a public heritage resource would be a wonderful idea and add to the overall appeal of the city of Chester, helping it on its way to being stronger through increasing the tourist offer, providing learning opportunities for schools and adding to the quality of life for residents. I'm a Cestrian by birth, though these days living in exile in the North of Cheshire, but would love to see this wonderful building opened for public use, not converted for private or university use. As a heritage professional of 20 years experience in Cheshire I know that this would be a huge success and with very low ongoing running costs, so it would be a perfect opportunity for the council to invest a little and preserve a very rare piece of heritage.

St.Olaves church in Chester must not fall into the hands of developers. Instead, this ancient building should be used for the purposes of historical research namely VIKING. Please don't let this truly special building turn into flats for the disgustingly wealthy. Give it to the people. let the world know of Chesters viking heritage

This grand old building needs to be utilised and cared for not left to rot, demolished and then something hideous built in its place like the 60s building next door. Which is also left vacated.

I would love to see you all succeed with this project, this lovely old building has been left unloved for so long l think the Vikings are just the folk to breath new life into it. As much as l love the Romans our city has so much more to offer and to learn about this part of our history would be wonderful. All the very best of luck to you

My Father was Rector when the fire took place, he would be delighted after nearly 50 years his wish to rebuild this lovely church

The supporting metal has long been a eyesore in Lower Bridge Street. CWAC need to recognise the importance of the site and give all assistance to the formation of the Viking Heritage Centre.

How about incorporate that monstrosity next to it and build a yorvick(York) style exhibit?
