60+ pre school places lost in one move, ccms already stated that they needed them to join together to make them priority for a new build, even on priority it will still be 10+ yrs before they will even begin and that's IF they get the funding. This also moves them above St colms for a new build who has waited how many years already.

Bureaucracy at it's best - consult the people to vote you in, then run roughshod over them to push through your own ideas. It's not happening - keep this precious and vital school open!

Parents have been mislead and not consulted throughout this whole process. We are not against this merger we just want it to be carried out in a an safe and organised way that has the support of parents and community alike. As a parent I feel as I was told this merger would take place with the children of St Lukes coming to St Marks for a year in order to prepare a new build on St Lukes grounds which I feel would have worked as this year would have given the children and teachers of both schools time to mix and get to know each other before transferring to a brand new school.

St Marks is a brilliant school life and soul of the community. The children should never have been moved to another school with the promise of a new school being built and now we hear that the funding is not guaranteed

St Mark's pupils should not be moved until funding for a new build is secured.

The Colin Area of Belfast will greatly miss the Early Years provision that St Marks Primary School provides.
