SAVE St. Jerome School Weymouth!

Please keep St. Jerome's open! This school is more than just a school...it's a vital part of the community.

St Jerome is important to the faith, educational and overall community of Weymouth and beyond. Being part of SJS school community enriched my family and children’s life and faith and was the cornerstone of great success in their higher education and future work. As a former Weymouth public school educator I always knew I wanted my children to have the best education available to them and that meant SJS. My children have long ago graduated, but often credit their personal successes to their experience at St Jerome’s. Please reconsider as this is a huge lost to the community.

Please reconsider the closing of St. Jerome School. This is a vibrant, faith-filled academic community. This impending closure would be detrimental to the educational growth of our current & future students.

My children went to St Jerome’s and I am so proud of all of them for the wonderful people they have become! The basic of such a wonderful Catholic education for their foundation has been instrumental in who they have become! Please keep St Jerome School open!

Please revisit your decision to close St. Jerome School. Why would you close a school that consistently places in the top 10 in the Archdiocese academically and has been in the black for the last 9 years while adding three new middle school classrooms, a new science and art laboratory, new smartboards and iPads, a new boiler system, a new roof and new windows?

I commend St Jerome's and the Archdiocese should a moment to realize how successful this Church/school is. It is a blessing to have them in the community. Save SJ

Don’t take the school

Some of my best memories were attending St. Jerome's School! What a great experience. It made me into the man that I am today. There is NO logical reason to close the school. It's a blessing, not a burden on anyone. Save our school!

So sad, both of my children went there. Unfortunately the years of wonderful Catholic education and excellent teachers are not being considered, it's always about the almighty dollar!!
