I am not a member of this parish, but I know the value of a parochial school education. My son in law is a principal of a Catholic school in another state. The value of a religious education in a home parish keeps youth connected to their church and the Sacraments. With all the disruption in our family's lives, this is not the time to do this.

St. Jerome’s Parish includes both the Church and the School; one should not exist without the other. The Archdiocese must consider that numerous signatures on this petition are those of former students and their families who moved outside of St. Jerome’s Church yet remain deeply connected to the Parish through the various fundraisers and events organized throughout the year by the School that, based on the recent outpouring of support, they clearly love. The loss of the School will be the loss of interest (financial and otherwise) in the continued growth of the Parish. Breaking up the Parish by closing the School is both fiscally and morally irresponsible. Please reconsider.

I went to catholic school and so did my children it is home it is family you feel wanted loved and soooo safe this is not the time to close your doors on families that pay high tuitions or hike up fees embrace these families be there What would Jesus do ????? just that !!!! God Bless

This is not right. How dare the people who are responsible for this not to talk to teachers and parents. Driving people further away from supporting their parishes. It’s an outrage.
